What should kids expect from training?
Expect plenty of movement, cardio, and conditioning alongside boxing fundamentals. Kids work on stamina and endurance while learning to listen, stay focused, and show respect. Visit the gym with a parent or guardian to discuss the right class.
Do you work with schools and nonprofit youth programs?
Yes. Local nonprofits already connect young people with Knockouts. We welcome inquiries from schools, alternative education programs, and nonprofits looking for structured recreation and positive youth development. Use our Partnerships inquiry form to introduce your program.
Is women’s boxing included in regular membership?
No. Women’s boxing has separate pricing and enrollment. Contact the gym for current class availability and program details. Regular kids and teens classes run Monday–Friday at 5 PM and 6 PM.
What is the best way to contact the gym?
Come visit us at 9201 California Ave in South Gate during the public hours. We’re a small local gym focused on training kids and running boxing classes. We don’t have someone dedicated to answering the phone all day, and training can get loud. Calls may go unanswered while we’re coaching, so speaking with us in person is best.
Can I join if I’m new to boxing?
Yes. Knockouts welcomes people learning the sport as well as experienced athletes. Visit the gym to discuss the right session, or apply online and tell us your experience level.
What ages can join?
Boxing welcomes ages 5 through adults. South Gate resident youth rates cover ages 5–17; adult rates are for ages 18+. Non-resident rates apply to all ages. A parent or guardian handles enrollment under 18, and the gym confirms the appropriate class or program.
How do South Gate resident rates work?
Resident pricing requires a valid ID. Bring proof of residency when completing your enrollment. Do not send ID documents through the website form.
Does open gym include classes or sparring?
Bags and cardio memberships cover independent training during public hours, Monday–Friday, 3–9 PM. Regular boxing classes have separate membership rates. Private training and sparring require direct arrangements with the gym.
How do I arrange personal training or conditioning?
Visit the gym for a consultation about one-on-one boxing, strength and conditioning, or amateur and professional training. We’ll discuss your goals, availability, program options, and pricing. These services are separate from regular membership.
What happens after I apply online?
Your application goes to the gym team for review around coaching and classes. Replies may take time. For questions and next steps, visit during our public hours. Submitting the form does not charge your card or activate a membership.
